Pierced For My Transgressions

The Swiss Guard taken at St Peterï¾’s Basilica in the Vatican City.  If possible I like to tell a story with my photos, being that this is the Vatican and perhaps regarded as the home of Christianity I thought that this photo made me think of the crucifixion.  We have a guard with spear a light, representing the light of the world or Jesus on the cross and the other guard who is unconcerned and remains untouched by events and therefore in black and white while the other guard who has pierced Jesus has an encounter with the light bringing colour into his life.

All work includes delivery to UK mainland other locations will be charged at cost.  Our Giclée prints are printed on either Hahnemühle German Etching paper or Hahnemühle Monet Canvas using pigment inks giving a life expectancy in normal conditions of over 100 years.  Below is a selection of options but we can print to fit your specific sizes, please enquire.
